Charity in fan form.

My worst habit?

Finishing something and then immediately forgetting about it. Here's a promo piece (albeit a not-so-common one) from six months ago.

Not a celebrity.

I'm left with a portfolio of unused work and the likeness of a client.

Forgive and forget. Or just forget.

Yee-Craw.

I dug up this old feller from the archives. I forgot I even made him.

Quite honestly, I don't even know what the clients did with this. It certainly beats the crawfish in a tutu project. *shudder*

Gadzooks!

While I'm on my retro kick, I may as well...

The piece that started it.

The great oil spill.

I did this -what? A year ago?

Sometimes I forget I even have a blog account. What can I say? I prefer daylight over LCD screens.

Liztrio.

Hoorayness.

Junior found his folks. May haps I had a bit of Eric Carle on the brain. I see a small lick of it in the leaves at least.

Oh the lizardness.

Hm. Been a while, neh?

Doing some attempts at lizards for the next project. If it weren't winter, I'd be tempted to just capture a green anole and hold it hostage for study.

Did I mention I have a love/hate relationship with drawing scales individually?

Rainbow Trout.

I didn't write the book, but I had the pleasure of laying out the type. Dictation is not a strong point of mine unfortunately. Every now and then the story would "cut back to reality." This is one of them.

Ah if only physical life encompassed minimalism...

Sunflower or Sunfish.

I consider this the piece that sold Dr. DeLand. Perhaps he's sharing the pleasures of his life with those that are less fortunate. Or he's a cannibal.

I dunno.

Red Snapper or Red Snapdragon.

I'm beginning to have a great appreciation for fish NOT portrayed by Will Smith. Stick to decking aliens, chum.

Starfish or Star Jasmine.

No, this isn't my "imagination at work." This is how I really see things. I think I need a change of prescription. And I'm not talking eyewear.

Goldfish or Goldenrod.

A fellow artist and I discussed how this would make a wonderful physical piece. What it would take to actually make it is beyond me. Good luck, fellow artist!
